We ask her what products she couldn’t live without…

What would be your desert island skincare product?
The Cream Cleanser from Skin Rocks – in the worst-case scenario you find yourself on a desert island, you can use this product as a cleanser and also a moisturiser! This is because it has hydrating ingredients such as niacinamide.

Best for wrinkles?
This is tricky as there are different types of wrinkles – the definition of a wrinkle is a fine line or a fold in the skin, which can be caused by numerous factors.

Ageing – we can have lines/wrinkles due to a breakdown of collagen in the skin which happens as we get older. For this I would recommend something peptide-based. I really like the Laneige Bouncy Firm Serum.

Dehydration – which occurs when the skin is lacking hydration.

It is important to note that collagen breakdown is usually deeper, and slightly less reversible, whereas dehydration in the skin is caused through things like not drinking enough water, and overexposure to the sun. It is important to use products that will increase and maintain moisture – and of course making sure we drink plenty of water and avoid overexposing ourselves to the sun! A product I love for hydrating most skin types is the Rola Skin Delicate Face Cream.

Best for dry skin?
Miracletoc Angelto Cream for face and body is a great Korean skincare product because it is so gentle that it can be used for excessively dry skin like eczema and psoriasis – it’s amazing.

Recent discovery you now can’t live without?
VT Mild Reedle Shot Serum 50 – it is the best alternative I have found to retinol which still has a huge impact on the rejuvenation of the skin. I use it 3 – 4 times a week regardless of it being summer or winter.

What do you use every morning?
I don’t know how to answer without giving you a shopping list! You should see the amount of product I have in my bathroom! Some of my favorites though (in order of use) include:

And every night?

Depending on the day, or what I have coming up I will use:

Do you have a favourite skin tool (such as LED mask or other)?

Best product for clearing skin?
It is important to know what exactly you are clearing before you reach for any products. For example, you would use completely different products for inflammatory acne and bacterial acne. Skin conditions are often generalised and people often opt for an all-fix product. For example, there are 4 types of rosacea and not all rosacea products are suited for all types.

Skincare is self-care, remember, and sometimes just being kind to your skin can help skin issues – for example, if you can reduce your stress levels then this can have a huge impact on your skin.

For me, when I go through periods of change or stress, and my skin is in need of extra support, I use the LED light mask – Omnilux Contour – as its red light treats a variety of different skin conditions.
